Risk Disclosure

General research and fixed-model examples
The Futures Playbook publishes market research and education. Nothing in the desk read, the close report, the track record, the level maps, the Pine overlays, the Discord server, the email list or any social post assesses whether an instrument or strategy suits your personal situation. Research can include directional scenarios, entry conditions, stops, targets and alerts; these are standardized research outputs, not a personal suitability assessment.
The Futures Playbook provides general research, not personal account management or brokerage services. Research does not assess your financial circumstances or suitability. No regulatory approval, endorsement or exemption is represented by these disclosures.
We do not manage, direct or have any access to your account. We do not accept discretion over anyone's money. Position-size examples use a fixed hypothetical account and risk budget, not a subscriber's actual balance, objectives or holdings. They do not establish an appropriate size for you. Every decision in your account remains yours.
Risk of loss
Trading futures and options on futures involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Leverage works in both directions: a small adverse move in the underlying can produce losses that exceed your initial margin deposit, and you may lose more than the amount you deposited with your broker.
Past performance — whether actual or hypothetical — is not indicative of future results. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose. If you are unsure whether futures trading is appropriate for you, consult a licensed professional who is familiar with your financial situation.
Hypothetical and simulated results
The track record, grades, win rates and P&L figures published by The Futures Playbook are hypothetical, not actual account or client returns. Published research levels are compared with subsequent market observations under each model's scoring rules. Dollar-result examples assume one contract unless expressly labeled otherwise; R figures are multiples of modeled risk. These simulations place no live orders. The figures are gross — commissions, exchange and clearing fees, and slippage are not deducted, and real fills at the published levels are not guaranteed. Sampling, ambiguous intrabar sequences, missing observations and model selection can affect results. Use each record's period, sample size and assumptions; a selected favorable result is not representative of all outcomes.
HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE MANY INHERENT LIMITATIONS, SOME OF WHICH ARE DESCRIBED BELOW. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN; IN FACT, THERE ARE FREQUENTLY SHARP DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND THE ACTUAL RESULTS SUBSEQUENTLY ACHIEVED BY ANY PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM. ONE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS IS THAT THEY ARE GENERALLY PREPARED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. IN ADDITION, HYPOTHETICAL TRADING DOES NOT INVOLVE FINANCIAL RISK, AND NO HYPOTHETICAL TRADING RECORD CAN COMPLETELY ACCOUNT FOR THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL RISK IN ACTUAL TRADING. FOR EXAMPLE, THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND LOSSES OR TO ADHERE TO A PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM IN SPITE OF TRADING LOSSES ARE MATERIAL POINTS WHICH CAN ALSO ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO THE MARKETS IN GENERAL OR TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SPECIFIC TRADING PROGRAM WHICH CANNOT BE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE PREPARATION OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND ALL OF WHICH CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.
Automated and model-generated content
Portions of the desk read are generated by statistical models and large language models operating on market data feeds. Model output can be wrong, stale or internally inconsistent, and data vendors can publish bad prints. Research and data can update at different times; check the displayed timestamp and context. A live-looking display does not guarantee real-time or executable prices. Independently verify information.
No guarantee; statutory rights preserved
Information here is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by applicable law. No profit, fill or trading outcome is guaranteed. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, excuses fraud or intentional misconduct, or waives statutory consumer or investor rights.
Testimonials and results shared by others
A third party's reported experience is not evidence of a typical outcome or a promise of your results. Any testimonial used in promotion must carry the required accuracy, typical-results and material-connection disclosures. Do not infer that a comment is independently verified or uncompensated merely because it appears alongside research.
